In the context of the adoption by the Government of Ukraine of measures aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on the territory of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine issued Resolution No. 583 of 02.06.2021 "On Amendments to the Resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of December 9, 2020 No. 1236" (the text of the act is available on the Government website: https://www.kmu.gov.ua/npas/pro-vnesennya-zmin-dopostanovi-kabinetu-ministriv-ukrayini-vid-9-grudnya-2020-r-t20621).
The decree expands the list of documents that allow foreigners and stateless persons to cross the border during the quarantine period.
From 09.06.2021, entry into Ukraine of foreigners and stateless persons is allowed in the presence of an insurance policy issued by an insurance company that is registered in Ukraine, or a foreign insurance company, or a company that has a representative office in Ukraine or a contractual relationship with a partner insurance company in Ukraine (assistance), covers the costs associated with the treatment of COVID-19, and is valid for the duration of your stay in Ukraine, as well as one of such documents issued in English or with an English translation:
- negative test result for COVID-19 by polymerase chain reaction or rapid test for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus antigen, conducted no more than 72 hours before crossing the border;
- a document confirming the receipt of a full course of vaccination against COVID-19 with vaccines included in the WHO list of approved for use in emergency situations.
In the absence of the specified insurance policy (certificate, certificate) and/or a negative result of testing for COVID-19 (a document confirming the receipt of a full course of vaccination), foreigners and stateless persons will be refused to cross the state border to enter Ukraine.
At the same time, they remain valid:
- categories of foreigners and stateless persons to whom the specified requirements do not apply.
- ban on the entry of foreigners from the Republic of India to Ukraine.
