On August 14, the joint project of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Tajikistan and VFS Global was successfully implemented: the Grand opening of the VFS Global Visa center in Dushanbe.

The visa center will serve citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

On August 17, the visa center will start its work.

Currently, a visa-free regime in the format of 90/180 days is in effect between Ukraine and Tajikistan on a mutual basis. Citizens of the Republic of Tatarstan who plan to come to Ukraine for a longer period of time, for the purpose of training, employment, etc., must obtain a visa of category "D". This practice works on a mutual basis.

The visa regime between Ukraine and Afghanistan is currently in effect on a mutual basis.

Ukraine actively and effectively adopts and implements the best practices of the world's leading countries. The opening of the visa center will undoubtedly contribute not only to improving the quality of service to citizens, but also to deepening mutual understanding and developing mutually beneficial relations between Ukraine and her friends – the Republic of Tajikistan and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

The opening ceremony was held in the presence of representatives of the diplomatic corps of the Republic of Tajikistan, representatives of the country's business community and journalists of print publications and television.
