Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba held an online meeting with Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin.

The Sides positively noted the intensification of relations between Ukraine and Tajikistan, and discussed preparations for the Intergovernmental Commission on economic cooperation to be held in Dushanbe this year.

The head of the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan noted the importance of cooperation with the Ukrainian side in the field of hydropower and noted the high quality of Ukrainian-made equipment.

The head of Ukrainian diplomacy assured of Ukraine's readiness to implement mutually beneficial projects in this area, further development of economic cooperation and trade between the two States.

The interlocutors exchanged invitations to make working visits. Dmytro Kuleba confirmed the invitation to the top leadership of the Republic of Tajikistan to take part in the events on the occasion of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence.

The ministers signed a Program of Cooperation Between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2022, which is designed to bring the cooperation of the foreign ministries to a qualitatively new level.
